New roof started

We started the new roof today on the house. Wasn't able to get started until after 10am as Dave had to take the utility trailer to the dump. While he was there we went down and pulled the building permit and did a few things at the house. After Dave came he and Larry figured out what materials would be needed than we took off to the local Lumber Yard while he got started taking shingles off.

I've come to the conclusion that I can't handle watching a roofer. Just to high up and too far down. When Larry and Dave went up and looked at the roof the section over the kitchen was in worse shape than first thought. so instead of just doing a batch job we decided to just do it so it's done right.

Larry helped Dave and I did my part by being a clean up person and gofer. They are forecasting rain tonight so had to tarp it. By the time we got home we decided we're both too old for this. Luckily Dave's helper will be there tomorrow and that will help.
